† Given on both CDs as a live broadcast on 23 March 1971 with Rudolf Kempe in Munich. Some sources also give the venue as the Munich Philharmonie which was not built until 1985. However Kempe's diary, complete up to July 1974, mentions no such performance. The only recording by Bavarian Radio was on 27 January 1975 with Rudolf Alberth and the Münchner Philharmoniker in Studio 1. (Thanks to Mark Hood)
